I created this website. As an amateur tennis player, I love to play tennis and play regularly in the Sugar Land area. Through these years tennis has brought a lot of enjoyment and good time to my life. I become passionate about tennis and really appreciate what I have gained from tennis sports, physically and intellectually. To return the benefits and promote this fun sport, in 2020, I started to organize tennis tournaments and team matches. This gives me more rewards in my life where I can serve our local community in a way that I feel is enjoyable. Hopefully, a tennis player like you can join us and support our tennis activities, and enrich our life journey living in Houston.
About Us
Tennis Tournament Committee
Joe Ueng is quite athletic and plays both tennis and golf; sometimes, golf in the morning and tennis in the evening, lots of energy.
David Lee has played tennis for years. He teamed up with Jim Fang in 2021 and won first place in Division B at the AFNB tennis tournament, and he is also a handyman.
Charlie Che actually should call him Dr. Charlie, is a good tennis player. He likes to teach and help other players to grab some tennis basic skills, a very charming guy.
What do we do?
Organizing a tennis event takes a lot of effort and hard work behind the scenes. The tournament committee is to set up for organizing, fundraising, preparing, scheduling, and performing a tennis tournament. The work starts from obtaining the funds, planning the tournament to scheduling and communicating the tournament. It lasts a couple of months time span. Without the personal dedication, it is impossible to have a successful tennis tournament. Here, we also look for volunteers who like to help out the tournament, serving our tennis community. Who we are?
Not like any other committees, the members of this tennis tournament committee are also good tennis players with years of tennis experience. They are passionate about the tennis and know the sport very well. Here are the members, Joe Ueng, David Lee, and Charlie Che (see the pictures above).
Joe, David, and Charlie have quite different personalities, but they have one thing in common, which is to like serving the community and spend time to help others. They work together to liaise the sponsors, plan and schedule the tournament.

I consider myself as a diehard tennis fan. I play USTA league and same time like to challenge the guys at Grants Lake tennis courts. Believe it or not, I have beat them a couple of times. This is tennis!
